Pile Foundation / Deep Foundation Techniques

When discussing piling or deep foundation techniques, we principally distinguish between bored piles and driven piles. The key difference between a driven pile foundation and bored piles lies in their construction.

Bored pile foundations are typically cast in situ and transfer the load primarily through end bearing, whereas driven piles are installed by being driven into the ground, transferring the load through skin friction and/or end bearing.

While almost all bored piles involve the use of concrete and concrete pumps, driven piles may be made from a variety of materials. SEBHSA, as a manufacturer of concrete pumps, aims only to outline some of the most common piling or deep foundation techniques that require concrete to be pumped and benefit from the use of crawler-mounted concrete pumps.
